Dr. Charles Belknap

Dr. Charles Belknap brings a diverse and impressive background in veterinary medicine, emergency and critical care, and military service to his role as a veterinarian. A 2024 graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Belknap completed a small animal rotating internship with Seattle Veterinary Specialists and BluePearl Kirkland Pet Hospital, where he gained advanced training in specialty medicine, emergency care, and surgery.

Prior to earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Belknap spent nearly a decade working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in both emergency/critical care and general practice settings. His extensive hands-on experience in veterinary hospitals has given him a unique perspective on patient care and a deep appreciation for the collaborative nature of veterinary medicine.

Before entering the veterinary profession, Dr. Belknap proudly served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, including assignments with the 1st Marine Division and Naval Hospital Pensacola. His military background helped shape the dedication, discipline, and compassion that continue to guide his approach to veterinary care today.

Dr. Belknap has a strong professional interest in emergency medicine, critical care, internal medicine, and surgery. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), and Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS). His academic achievements include receiving Cornell University's Charles Gross Bondy Prize, awarded to the graduating student demonstrating exceptional work in small animal clinical medicine and surgery.

Outside of practice, Dr. Belknap enjoys spending time with his wife, two cats, and labrador retriever.
